Minutes of May 12, 2014 Meeting
Call To Order:
Meeting was held at Holly Tree Country Club. President Don Warmuth called the meeting to order at 7:00pm with 25 members present.
Recognition of Visitors / New Members:
There were no visitors present.
Reading of Minutes:
Minutes of the April 8th meeting were read. John Bracket made a motion to accept, was seconded by Richard Howiler and passed.
Governor’s Report:
Greg Kyzer reported on several NCCC events:
May 10                  Corvettes and Classic car show, Kenley, NC
Jun 7 – 8                14 low speed at the Donaldson Center, Greenville, SC
Jul 4 – 6                 21 low speed events at Knoxville, TN
Aug 25 – 29          Annual convention, Savannah, GA  The host hotel is booked but there is another one listed on the Convention website.
John Haskell talked about gravity races that are sometimes held at a convention involving a valve cover with wheels.
Greg also reported that our flyer for our June 28-29 low speed at the Donaldson Center, Greenville, SC, is on the South East Regional site on the NCCC website.
Debbie Haskell will be sending out a link to the flyer to all of us.

Treasurer’s Report:
Deb Haskell did not bring a report but several checks have been written since her last report.
Old Business:
Shaun Egan said to send the name and color for the shirts you want to him bring to the meeting.
Ann Warmuth will re-send the email with the polo shirt colors and sizing and pricing.
Play and Dinner Joe Paglialunga informed us that seven couples came to the show and had a great time.  The Fountain Inn Theatre Director asked about our participation in a Cruise In and will let Joe know when that might be.  Joe will arrange another Theatre event in 2015.
Our Club had 13 members go to the Vettes for Vets in Forest City last Saturday.  Phil Waddell won two awards!  The event raised over $4,000 for the Veterans.
Deb Haskell confirmed the Autocross to be held on June 28 – 29. Cost would be $1,750 for  the track. They reminded us that anyone can compete with a stock car as long as they have a Snell 2010 helmet and pass a tech safety inspection. Volunteers are needed to help with the event.  She will send an email out explaining what kind of help is needed.  Don Warmuth will invite the Wounded Warriors to come to our event.
New Business:
Emil Zordan said that staying overnight at the New Switzerland hotel will not work this year.  BUT we will have a caravan go up Diamond Back to New Switzerland for lunch July 26.  He will send emails about this as we get closer to the date.
Don and Ann will figure out a Day at Lake Keowee around a time when the Herbs can come over to be a part of that event.  They now live in Florence.
Corvettes at Tamassee DAR School will be in October TBD
Don Warmuth told us that NCRS is having a car show in Myrtle Beach June 6-7.
Lind Emmons talked about future Car Show events.  There is one this Friday, May 16, in Hendersonville, NC. Don W. will scan the flyers and send them out to us.  She also told us about the Drone video one can see on the Rutherford County Corvettes Facebook page.

The meeting adjourned at 8:15pm.
