Treasurer’s Report
Deb Haskell reported the club’s checking account has $4,506.39, the money market account has $1,060.37 and we got 0.03 interest.

Old Business:
Shaun Egan said to send the name and color for the t-shirts you want to him.

The Road Warriors event of March 30th was discussed.  Our club had six cars and 11 members attend.  The event organizers want it bigger next year.

Deb Haskell called for a big round of applause for the Annual Banquet committee members (Ann, Deanna, Deb, Kim, Sue).  Everyone had a great time.  The committee is looking for any thoughts or ideas to make next year’s even better.  One comment made was to have reserved parking for Corvettes in one location.

Deb Haskell will confirm the Autocross to be held on June 28 – 29.  Probable cost would be $1,750 for ½ the track.  A motion was made by Johnny Haskell to make up flyers well in advance for the Autocross once the date is confirmed.  It was seconded by John Bracket and passed.  They reminded us that anyone can compete with a stock car as long as they have a Snell 2010 helmet and pass a tech safety inspection.

Info on the May 10 Corvettes for Vets at Forest City, NC was distributed.  Registration in advance or at the day of the show from 9am till noon, awards at 3pm. Several members want to ride up as a group.  More details via e-mail as the date gets near.

Joe Paglialunga said the Dinner & Theater event in Fountain Inn is still on for Saturday, April 26th.  Just call the Youths Center for tickets, but just show up at J. Peters for dinner at 5:00pm

New Business:
Verne said he keeps the web site up to date with events.  There are links with details, often including maps.  Send any new info to Verne as soon as you can about club approved event.

As there have been great ideas for club activities this year, Brenda asked to remove the Plantation, Farm tour and Kamu’s from the list of possible future events.  Perhaps they could be re-considered next year.

Jim Emmons asked about using club radios during a group caravan to a club event.  Verne and Johnny Haskell said they have about 10 family radios that are used during Autocross.  Anyone can buy their own, channels 8 – 12 are used; Cobra is a good unit.

Deb Haskell mentioned that on Tuesday evening at the NCCC convention, there will be a “Gone with the Wind” theme costume party.

The meeting adjourned at 8:30pm.

Respectfully submitted,
Steve Verdone
