Minutes of January 14, 2014 Meeting

Meeting was held at Holly Tree.   Before dinner, Don Warmuth, Vice President, called the meeting to order.

Minutes of the December 10th meeting were read and approved.

Visitors Maurice Sullivan, Phillip Waddel and Richard Howiler were recognized.

Greg Kyzer gave the Governor’s report.  There are no Carolina region events currently scheduled. Events are scheduled in Florida and Nashville.
 
Debbie Haskell gave the treasurer’s report.  There is $x,xxx.39 in checking and $x,xxx.19 in savings.

Club jackets were discussed and orders were taken.

Nametags for club members were discussed.  A motion was made to order them for all members and pay with club funds and then be reimbursed.  A vote was taken and the motion carried.

The club participation in the International Auto Show was discussed.

The January event will be trap shooting at the Clinton Plantation.  The date will actually be February 1st.  Meet at the Cracker Barrel in Simpsonville at 8:30.

The February event is Medieval Times in Atlanta.  Steve and Brenda will coordinate details.  16 or more are needed to get group rates.

The March event will be the club Banquet on the 22nd and the Embassy Suites is the preferred location.

A discussion was held on the officer changeover occurring at the first of the year.  The club by-laws may need to be clarified to clearly state this.

There was a tie in the Lowery award voting.  Any members present who had not previously voted were allowed to vote in an effort to break the tie.

The 2014 NCCC convention will be in Savannah.  Registration starts February 1st.

Discussion was held about possibly holding the club autocross in early May.
