Minutes of October 8, 2013 Meeting
Meeting was held at Tavern 24 on Woodruff Road. Before dinner, Blair Collins, President, called the meeting to order.
Minutes of the September 10th meeting were read and approved.
Visitors David and Karen Thomas, Mark McGrath and Kim Edwards and Wayne and Debra were recognized.
Greg Kyzer gave the Governor’s report. In the Carolina region, car show is scheduled for Oct 19th and 20th in Jacksonville NC. SE region events are scheduled for Oct 11 and 12 in Nashville and Nov 16th and 17th in Knoxville. Additional events are scheduled in Fla. Our Donaldson Center autocross lost about $500. We need to investigate including other clubs in future events to help defray costs. There are openings for region officers. There will be a high speed event at Roebling Rd on Thanksgiving weekend.
No treasurer’s report was given.
The Tomassee School event of Sept 21st was discussed. There were 16 Corvettes and a few other cars. Event raised $700 for the school.
The Wine Cruise event of Sept 28th and Emil’s Birthday Part of Oct 5th were discussed.
Emil will be hosting a Halloween Party on Oct 26th. Details are on the web site.
There will be a baby shower for Allison on Nov 2nd.
The club autocross was discussed. Event had a good turnout but lost $503.
There will be a brew cruise on Nov 9th.
Debbie and Johnny will be hosting the Christmas Party.
The location for future meetings was discussed. Options are being examined.
2014 officer nominations were taken. Nominations are as follows:
President: John Haskell, Don Warmuth, Tim Janilla, Joe Paglialunga
Vice President: Brenda Verdone, Don Warmuth
Secretary: Scott Griffin
Treasurer: Debbie Haskell
Club dues are due at the Nov meeting.
Club jackets will be $46. Styles still need to be looked at.
