Hi y’all,
We had five new members in attendance.
The Franke’s Fun Park turned out to be a no-go, due to the monsoons there weren’t enough people. But those that did attend had a great time. Maybe we should try again.
The Meteor shower event, while not extremely well attended was fun, saw many meteors and had a great opportunity for bonding.
Diamond Back Cruise on 9/7 is ready to go. Times and locations will follow.
Tamassee Charity event on 9/21 (rain 9/22) is ready to go. Please forward the attached flyer to all you think might be interested. Blair will send out times and locations for a possible caravan.
The wine Cruise is shaping up nicely. It will start in Landrum and go through Blue Ridge and Hendersonville (for dinner) and will include an apple stand. More info next meeting.
Whitaker Club Sponsorship is firming up. They have agreed to hand out a package from us with every corvette they sell. Initial brochure is attached and we have contacted NCCC National for their handouts.
The Autocross is a no-go unless someone comes up with a place. Whitaker would love to support us but their race facility is booked for all of October. Next year is a real player.
Club jackets – nothing new.
Oct 5 is Emil’s 65th and there will be a celebration along with BBQ at 7:00 – keep the date open
The Halloween Party will be Oct 26 at Emil’s starting at 5:00. Costumes encouraged.
