Subject: [Carolina Corvettes ] Quick Meeting Recap

Quick recap of the highlights for upcoming stuff from the meeting on Tuesday night.

- The Caravan 2014 guest speaker wasn't able to make it but are planning to be there in April.
- The Club Banquet is this Saturday, 3/16 and the starting time is 6:30pm at the bar for drinks and socializing before dinner.  You need to have RSVP'ed with Debbie to attend.  If you'd like to attend and haven't done that yet then please speak to her as soon as possible so she can attempt to change the headcount with the hotel.  The banquet is at the Embassy Suites in Greenville on Verdae.
- The Tamasee cruise is coming on on 3/23.  Those meeting there, meet at the Tamasee DAR Thrift Store (Googling that should find you the address) at 9:30am so we can cruise in together.  Those who would like to cruise from Greenville, meet me in the Bi-Lo parking lot at Laurens Rd and Verdae Blvd by 8am and we can cruise up to the thrift store together.
- The Vets For Vets car show is on 4/27.  Joe will plan a cruise up for those just going for Saturday.  So more info after the next meeting.
- Fountain Inn Theater Cruise is on 4/20.  Meet at J. Peters in Fountain Inn for dinner at 5pm.  Call the the Fountain Inn theater if you're planning to attend and order tickets which are $15 per person.  Ask for Elaine and tell her you're with the Corvette club.
- Brenda & Co. are planning a beer and wine cruise for May but we don't have a date yet so more details to come after next meeting.
- In June, Don and Anne said they would plan a day at their lake house but no date yet.
- In July, Ray will plan a trip to Frankie's Fun Park but not date yet.
- In August, Blair will plan a meteor shower watching trip on Saturday, August 10th.  It will likely involve a later dinner in NC and then a cruise up into the mountains arriving at a viewing point between 10 and 11pm.  A local hotel will be found for those that do not want to drive all the way home after being out late star gazing.  More details to come.
- In September, I believe Emil (sorry, I didn't write it down) said he would plan a trip to cruise the Diamond Back.
- We would like to try and have two autocrosses this year and it looks like there is enough support to be able to do it so we're planning for June and September as of now.  More details to come and we hope to have the dates soon.  If you're available then your help at the events would be very much appreciated.

That's about it.  I look forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming events.  Thanks,

blair
