Minutes of May 8, 2012 Meeting
Meeting was held at J Peters Bar and Grill on Market Point Drive. Following dinner, Mike Hovan, Vice-President, called the meeting to order.
The minutes of the April 10, 2012 meeting were read and approved as written.
Visitors Steve and Rachel Rosen were recognized.
Greg Kyzer gave the Governor’s report. No additional Carolina region events have been scheduled. No report was provided on the national Governor’s meeting that was scheduled for May 5th. Events are scheduled for Memorial Day weekend in Knoxville.
Debbie Haskel gave the treasurer’s report. There is $xxxx.77 in checking and $xxxx.42 in savings.
The April Highlands NC cruise was discussed. 9 cars participated.
Upcoming club events were discussed. The May event will be held on June 2nd. It will be a trip to a drive in theater in Georgia. Blair will provide details. A June event is still needed. In July, there will be a party at the Haskel’s. In August, the will be a photo rally. Emil will host a Halloween party for the October event. The November event will be a trip to Biltmore. Other possible events discussed included Greenville Pickens Speedway and a fall trip to Helen Ga.
The club autocross was discussed. The event will be held at the Spartanburg Expo location on the weekend of October 20 and 21.
Johnny stated that the eastern NC clubs are having an awards presentation on May 19.
