Minutes of June 8, 2010 Meeting

Meeting was held at Travinia’s on Woodruff Road. Following dinner, Blair Collins, President, called the meeting to order.

The following visitors were recognized: Dale Chandler, Lenny and Christine Clark

The minutes of the May 11 meeting were read and accepted.

Greg Kyzer gave the Governor’s report. The national governor’s meeting was April 30, 2010. The NCCC is projecting a budget deficit for this year and a dues increase was proposed. In the Carolina Region, there is a 14 event low speed weekend scheduled July 3 and 4 at Sanford NC and a car show in Jacksonville NC. For our club event, Darlington quoted $1000 per day for the facility so other venues are being looked at.

Debbie Haskell gave the treasurer’s report. There is $xxxx in checking and $1xxxx.59 in savings. The transfer of $1500 from the checking account to the savings account as approved during the May 11, 2010 has not yet been done.

Discussions were held on the Bowling Green trip of May 22 and 23.

Johnny and Debbie will host an event at their home at 2:00 PM on June 12th. The event will be a wine tasting. Everyone attending should bring a couple bottles of wine and a side dish to go with it.

For the July club event, we will meet at the Sonic on Highway 290 at 7:15 on Monday July 19 and drive to the Shoppes At Greenridge in Greenville (just off I-85) and have ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery. 

The national convention is July 24-30th.

For the August event, Mike Hovan will coordinate a Tail of the Dragon trip. Details will be provided later.
