Minutes of March 9, 2010 Meeting

Meeting was held at Travinia’s on Woodruff Road. Following dinner, Blair Collins, President, called the meeting to order.

The following visitors were recognized:

Bill Richards (82 Corvette)

Richard Sittig (2007 Corvette)

Larry and Cathy Trout (2001 Corvette)

No minutes of the February 9 meeting were read.

Greg Kyzer gave the Governor’s report. Membership cards have been mailed out. CCI finished 6th nationally. You can still buy an acre at the Motorsports Park for $15,000. NCCC is trying to get bulk postage for Blue Bars. GPS is allowed for Gimmick Rally but not for a time-speed rally. Regional Banquet registration closes April 1st. Region is working on new t-shirts. 14 event low speed event at Darlington on March 20 and 21th. Points car show at Dan Bullock Dealership. 14 event low speed event in Nashville. Concours scheduled for April 24th. Greg has the flyers.

No treasurer’s report was given.

Old Business:

Mike Hovan is planning a cruise and coffee for March 27 at 10:00 AM. Meet at Burlington Coat Factory, then drive to Williams Hardware Café in Traveler’s Rest and then drive to either Caesar’s Head or Highway 11.

Johnny Haskell discussed possibly having our club autocross Memorial Day weekend in Sanford NC. The club decided not to do it and will look into having an event in the fall. Corvette wheel and tire chart is on the NCCC website.

The Bowling Green trip will be May 22 through 24. Unveiling of Don’s brick will be on Sunday Morning. Day’s Inn has a rate of $57/night or will give 15% off. We will drive out on Saturday and can tour the factory on Monday.

New Business:

Blair will plan an event for April (possibly a Greenville Drive game). An email will be sent out.

There is a Carnival Fantasy cruise to Key West – Contact Luis or Shella Mironda).

A thank-you card from McCall Hospice House was circulated.
