Minutes of March 10, 2009 Meeting
Meeting was held at Fuddruckers on Woodruff Road. Following dinner, Terry Merritt, President, called the meeting to order at 7:40 PM.
The minutes of the February 10, 2009 meeting were read and approved as written.
Greg Kyzer gave the Governor’s report. The regional Governor’s meeting was held February 21, 2009. Vern Tomlins was appointed region webmaster. NCCC has a new Vision committee. April 4 will be the next Governor’s meeting. Chevy’s Under Glass will hold an autocross April 25 and 26 at the former Greenville Braves stadium. A discussion was held on when K&K insurance is needed. For now any club activities that involve driving will be submitted.
Debbie Haskell gave the bank balances. There is $xxxx in checking with a check for $455.00 for NCCC renewals outstanding. There is $xxxx in savings. Debbie purchased 50th anniversary NCCC pins for club members. There was a motion made for CCI to pay for the pins. The motion carried to pay $3 each for the 25 pins.
Discussions were held on the club speed event. We are about 75% committed to using the former Braves stadium. Terry is going to investigate using the Anderson Fair grounds. An organizational meeting will be held in early April.
The March event will be a mystery dinner on March 28. Meet at the Sonoco gas station at exit 60.
Thanks were given to the Brackets for hosting the Valentine’s event.
A report was given on the Kannapolis Autocross.
Region banquet will be March 14th at the Radisson hotel in Spartanburg.
A motion was made to purchase a museum brick for Don Smith. A vote was taken and the motion passed. The total cost will be about $600.00. Carolina Autocross team has provided a $100 contribution and the Carolina region is also expected to contribute.
A club event will be held April 18 with details to be determined.
A club event will be held May 9 for a cruise-in at Wabtec.
Johnny has Carolina Region patches and stickers for sale.
