Minutes of February 10, 2009 Meeting
Meeting was held at Fuddruckers on Woodruff Road. Following dinner, Terry Merritt, President, called the meeting to order at 7:40 PM.
Visitor Shawn Egan was recognized.
The minutes of the January 13, 2009 meeting were read and approved as written.
Debbie Haskell gave the bank balances. There is $xxxx in checking and $xxxx in savings. Club banquet expenses will be upcoming.
Discussions were held on the club speed event. A motion was made to conduct the event over the weekend of May 16 and 17. The motion was seconded and a vote was taken. The motion carried. It was decided to tentatively schedule the event for the old Braves stadium but continue to search for an alternate location. Chevy’s Under Glass is planning on using the Braves stadium for their upcoming event.
A vote was taken on the Jack Lowery award. The winner will be announced at the club banquet.
A discussion was held on the club banquet. The banquet will be held February 21, 2009 at City Range in Greenville. Members are free and visitors will be $20.00. RSPV to Debbie by February 14.
The regional banquet is tentatively scheduled for March 14, 2009.
The Brackett’s will be hosting a Valentines Gathering at their home on February 13, 2009.
Ideas for club events were discussed. We would like to schedule an event for one of the last two weekends in March. Blair tentatively proposed a tripi to Cherokee NC on April 18.
Debbie discussed ordering new club T-Shirts and sweatshirts.
