Minutes of January 13, 2009 Meeting
Meeting was held at Fuddruckers on Woodruff Road. Following dinner, Johnny Haskell, President, called the meeting to order at 7:45 PM.
Visitors Luis and Sheila Miranda were recognized.
The minutes of the December 9, 2008 meeting were read and approved as written.
Johnny Haskell gave the Governor’s report for Greg Kyzer. A show is scheduled for Rocky Mount on March 1. There will be a 14 event weekend March 7 and 8 at Intimidators Stadium in Kannapolis. The flyer was passed around for the March 7 and 8 event. Chevy’s Under Glass has tentatively scheduled 14 events for the weekend of April 25 and 26 in Hickory NC.
Debbie Haskell gave the bank balances. There is $xxxx in checking and $xxxx in savings. Checks for $455 and $45 to NCCC are outstanding.
Discussions were held on the club speed event. We are looking for a weekend in May. May 16 is the preference. Johnny proposed Stanford NC. Everyone to look for possible location.
The regional banquet is tentatively scheduled for March 14, 2009.
The club banquet is tentatively scheduled for February 21, 2009.
Ideas for club events were discussed.
The voting for the Jack Lowery award will be done at the February meting.
